The Resort Collina d’Oro, takes its name from its home municipality that, thanks to its marvellous geographical location, has inspired a lot of creative artists over the centuries. Besides having been the cradle of famous architects, who decorated the magnificent palaces of Tsarist Russia, the Collina d’Oro has been the residence of the Nobel Prize winner Hermann Hesse. The author of “Siddharta” wrote here some of his masterpieces, finally finding serenity in the peaceful and charming environment that characterize this region, where nowadays there is even a museum dedicated to the memory of this great writer.
